Do you love sailing? Do you want to keep up your culture? Do you want to share knowledge? Do you care for our environment?

Okeanos Foundation is searching for staff around the Pacific. Please have a look for any job openings! Here in Vanuatu we need self-motivated, collaborative and proactive people who are passionate about the environment, care for the people living on the remote islands of Vanuatu, and like to keep traditional sailing culture alive. We welcome licensed captains and crew but are also happy to train volunteers! Knowledge about Okeanos’ high standards of professional sailing, boat building and safety is imparted in the Okeanos Seamanship Training delivered by our Vaka Fleet Commander and Grand Master Navigator, captain Peia Patai, and other professional trainers.

We are also thankful for taking volunteers and interns from all around the world, helping us in Vanuatu for some time and taking back afterwards the idea of traditional voyaging to their homes. We expect that you are open-minded for a new culture of training, learning and customer service. Ideally you have a background in environmental conservation and learning. If you are interested in helping Okeanos Vanuatu for a limited period of time, please send us your application by email, showing your special interest in our work.

If you are a sailor, an activist or just have some ideas how to improve the traditional voyaging network or our services, please also send us an email with your thoughts and suggestions. We are open for your ideas and help.
